Sagot :
Given :-
[tex]\red{\leadsto}\:[/tex][tex]\textsf{area of a trapezium} [/tex][tex]\sf=36cm² [/tex]
[tex]\green{\leadsto}\:[/tex][tex]\textsf{parallel sides }[/tex][tex]\sf \;are\: 10.5 cm \:and \;9.5 \;cm [/tex]
To Find :-
- distance between two parallel sides,h
Solution :-
[tex]\green{ \underline { \boxed{ \sf{Area \:of\: trapezium = \dfrac{1}{2} \times(sum \:of\:parallel\:sides)\times h }}}}[/tex]
Putting Values :-
[tex]\begin{gathered}\\\implies\quad \sf 36 = \frac{1}{2} \times(10.5 +9.5 )\times h \\\end{gathered} [/tex]
[tex]\begin{gathered}\\\implies\quad \sf 36 = \frac{1}{\cancel{2}} \times(\cancel{20} )\times h \\\end{gathered} [/tex]
[tex]\begin{gathered}\\\implies\quad \sf 36 =10\times h \\\end{gathered} [/tex]
[tex]\begin{gathered}\\\implies\quad \sf h =\frac{36}{10} \\\end{gathered} [/tex]
[tex]\begin{gathered}\\\implies\quad \sf h = 3.6 cm \\\end{gathered} [/tex]
Therefore, distance between the two parallel sides = 3.6 cm
