Is the expression x^3·x^3·x^3 equivalent to x^3·3·3? Why or why not? Explain your reasoning. Please show and explain all steps thoroughly. Thank you for your time and help. There is a screenshot of the problem in case my typed version of the problem is not as understandable.
The two expressions are not equivalent because one of the the rule of exponents is that when the bases of the exponents are the same (in this case, they're all x) then you can add the powers. Thus, the alternative expression should be x^(3+3+3).
