evaluate the importance of the microscope to biology

Sagot :

It is quite important and the vast majority of what we know about biology is found out using microscope. Such as the discovery of cells by Robert Hooke which helped with a lot of medical research and this saved billions of lives.

With microscopes, we can see what the naked eye cannot. Such as microorganisms, blood cells, skin cells, plant cells, plaque, salts, fibers, molds, etc.

There are different types of microscopes that are used for different reasons. There are light microscopes (also known as compound microscopes), SEM (scanning electron microscopes), and TEM (transmission electron microscopes). These are just a few common ones.

Compound microscopes are used for meiosis. SEM are used to see misquitos. TEM are often functioned for cells. Just one example.

Microscopes also have different "zooms". Depending on the type of microscope, they have different levels of closeness to your subject.
