Sagot :
surface tension is a property of the surface of a liquid that allows it to resist an external force. for example, some objects can float on the surface of water, even though they are denser than water, and in the ability of some insectsto run on the water surface. This property is caused by cohesion of similar molecules, and is responsible for many of the behaviors of liquids.
Surface tension is going to be the tightness of molecules at the top. When your tense you're tight so you can think of surface tension as how tightly are those molecules connected at the top or the surface.
The greater the surface tension, the more they're going to be able to hold things up.
